We had 187 flat tires (= every 3'971 km or 111 hours of driving).
We used 78 tires, 35 batteries, 162 spark plugs, 25 air filters, 60 shock absorbers.
We made 102 oil changes with 61 oil filters and 108 times greasing.

We had to take 299 times a ferry or a freighter to cross a river, lake or the sea.
This was done on 245 ferries, 29 containers, 2 pontoons, 19 roll-on/roll-off-shipments und 4 times by crane.
We changed 26 times each from right hand to left hand traffic and 25 times from the left to the right.
We crossed 20 times the Equator from North to South and 19 times from South to North, then 14 resp. 11 times in the car.
We needed 107 visas, which filled 12 passports (for Russia the passports had to be sent to Switzerland).

The 186 visited countries had 78 different languages and 156 different currencies.
We visited 161 of the total 195 sovereign and 25 of the 76 non-sovereign countries and other territories of the world.
We have been checked 367 times at the totally 530 border crossings..
We travelled in 23 of the total 24 time-zones.

The highest point the car reached was 5'320 m in Bolivia (Chacaltaya).
The lowest point was in Jordan at -390 m (Dead Sea).
 
We experienced the coldest camping nights on 4.6.1987 at Geiser del Tatio in northeastern Chile: ca. -13°C
and on 1.11.1999 near Mill City along Route 95 in Nevada/USA: ca. -15°C

Since 1995 we have given 73 TV interviews in 43 different countries.

460 pages (½ in German and ½ in English) can be chosen on our website, where 9'936 different pictures in a small and a large size of our journey can be found.

Since 1.4.2002 the start of the statistics of emails – we received and sent 30'150 emails, this is monthly 163 av. (Birth day of Hotmail 5.3.1999)

We "shot" about 19'260 slides, 18'660 prints and 83'710 digital pictures, totally = 121'630, that's every 6 km or 10 minutes of driving one photo.

The highest average speed we drove in Belgium (71.9 km/h), followed by Denmark (62.3 km/h).
The lowest average speed we drove in the Vatican (10.0 km/h), followed by Gibraltar (11,3 km/h).

The most days and kilometers we spent in the USA (1'118 days = 101'533 km), followed by Australia (318 days = 38'960 km).
The fewest kilometers we drove in the Vatican (2 km), followed by Monaco (19 km).

Generally, the car was moved on 6 out of 10 days.
In the average we moved to the next place after 3 days of stay.
 
We filled up totally 185'252 litres of petrol at 2'070 service stations, average 91 litres per filling.
The highest paid petrol price was US$ 2.70 per litre in June 2013 in Turkey, the lowest US$ 0.01¾ per litre in May 1995 in Iran.
The 1000000th driving minute was 6.5.07 in Kupang/Timor/Indonesia
The 100000th litre of petrol was consumed 28.4.96 in the United Arab Emirates
The 10000th driving hour was 5.6.95 in Kyrgyzstan
