News November 2014              (Windhoek/Namibia, 12/2/2014)

Website statistics:   'Webalizer' has been shut down definitively in February 2013. 'Logaholic' is the current counter.
'Logaholic' shows now the following figures in November 2014: 23'030 visits / 80'602 pages
'Google-Analytics' showed 27'290 pageviews during November. The visitors come from ~230 countries!
                   ('Logaholic' October = 25'802 visits / 94'497 pages; September = 20'410 visits / 76'687 pages)
                        ('Google-Analytics': October = 29'281 pageviews / September = 23'158 pageviews)
Record day since 12/17/1998 = the birthday of our website: on 11/5/2007 = 13'407 visitors and 787'456 hits ('Webalizer')

Our 181st country Angola covered in the last News October 2014 is in fact history; however its 150 pictures are now
online: Angola (1) and Angola (2) and the story of the odd 30th anniversary of being on the road. Updating our website as
well as searching an axle shaft kept us busy during the past time. However it's time now to move on, because our "problem
child" the shaft is ready to be collected in Johannesburg/South Africa. Thus it seems to be given that either this country or
Botswana will become our next destination. Both are not new to us as we visited them already back in November 1991 as
52nd respectively 53rd country. Which route we shall choose isn't fixed yet.

But until we determine this it might take a while: About ten days ago Liliana did a bad silly move when she "crawled out" of
the LandCruiser during rather chilly temperatures. Now bending down is painfully for her and she isn't anymore able to sit for
longer periods. The "part" that has been obviously affected is called "Sacroiliac Joint" but should recover sometime,
whereas medicines help to suppress the pains. Oh well, we don't get younger despite our 30 years of travelling!

Namibia/Windhoek: Camping Elisenheim - 9 miles north of the city center

The rainy season started actually in Southern Africa, but Western Namibia remained still widely dry and hot. Hence in the
future we certainly shall meet every now and then some wet days. But until now we cannot complain: Since our arrival on
Cape Verde over one year ago we just had two rainy days. But because we still have the Kingdom of Lesotho on our plan
(was 1992 our 56th destination), we might still get some precipitations on those high mountains (between 11'424 ft. and
4'593 ft.). Afterwards we continue through another part of South Africa via Swaziland (# 55) to country # 182:
Mozambique, exactly Maputo in the south. Thereupon our route could continue through Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania and
Kenya to the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Djibouti and the Sudans) with probably some side trips in between.
