                                  ('Google-Analytics': May = 45'790 Pageviews / April = 41'468 Pageviews)

On July 8th, 2010, we closed the chapter of our 3rd Indonesian visit – but not without a hectic rush! While the entry procedures for
cars on arrival at the port of Belawan near Medan have been simplified, an exit in Jakarta is still a huge bureaucracy undertaking,
often generated by overzealous brokers, who try to "justify" their inflated fees. Even if the Southern part of Sumatra's Westcoast
had to offer a few beautiful landscapes, we are now pleased to look forward for future adventures in a new country.

Thus our LandCruiser sits in its 19th container in a container yard in Jakarta and is waiting to sail on July 22nd, 2010, with the
freighter "Pacific Resolution" of the Swire Shipping Line back to the Pacific, exactly to Lae in Papua New Guinea. After
innumerable emails we managed finally to get the necessary permits from Port Moresby, which failed back in January 2008 when
we tried to ship the Toyota for the first time from Hong Kong.

We flew from Jakarta once more with AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, where we continue now with the "dental maintenance"
unfortunately a long time neglected that we started during our last visit, hence we can board Air Niugini on July 26th, without
too many worries.

On June 25th, in the Indonesian town of Bandar Lampung, we enjoyed visitors from Singapore. It was a TV crew from the
German channel ARD, who shot an interview at a local beach for the program "Nachtmagazin" within the News; it will be
broadcasted soon. Obviously, the Germans lately show a big interest in our journey. Not only can we see this on our website
statistic, but also in the media: The FAZ, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, published an extensive article, while the TV SWR for
its "Nachtcafé" and Günther Jauch from Stern TV at RTL made contact to invite us to Germany  – but obviously we are too far
away! Who knows however: Suddenly they show up in the jungle of PNG's Highlands? To be fair we would like to mention also
Swiss TV SF1 with Aeschbacher's Talk Show "Comeback" – but are we considering a "Return"? – hardly!

                                                                Bengkulu/Sumatra/Indonesia: Encounter with an elephant

From 13th to 15th August 2010, the famous Mount Hagen Show takes place – a "Sing-Sing" (meeting) initiated by about 50
Highland tribes, wearing their traditional, wild looking costumes. This should become our first highlight in Papua New Guinea – IF
everything runs smoothly at the car's release and IF no incidents occur during our ride from Lae to Mount Hagen.
